A programme of art, culture and new infrastructure to reimagine the future of the UK’s biggest council housing estate

Process: Carole Wright (Blak Outside)

on the Sanctuary Garden

Playing Thursday at 3pm and on rotation all week.

Carole Wright from Blak Outside (@blak_outside) talks about their process designing the Sanctuary Garden, an outdoor community garden created for the newly renovated Mayesbrook Children's Centre in Dagenham.

Blak Outside is grassroots led, intergenerational, supportive of social housing residents, QTIBIPOC (queer, trans, intersex, Black, indigenous people of colour). The project builds on our existing work in art, early years and land justice, particularly the thirty three years of community work of Carole Wright to provide long term legacies in the communities where we live.
