This Barking and Dagenham Carnival Launch Party took place at Valence Library on June 25 and was organised by UKON Careers, featuring a live mix by DJ Scooby.

Barking and Dagenham's official carnival event took place on 9 July at the Barking Learning Centre and in the Barking Town Square. The event featured performances from international carnival artists, community groups, schools and street dancers.
