Emma Jane
Clay and Plaster Casting Workshops
Alderman Jones's House, 322 Parsloes Avenue
7 August 2021
Join Emma Jane, artist-in-residence at Alderman Jones's House, for clay and plaster casting workshops that she'll be delivering on Saturday 7 August between 11am-1pm and 2-4pm. Children and adults are welcome to the workshops and snacks will also be provided. People can also view the work Jane has made in the garden and the downstairs of the house.
Emma Jane’s art practice comprises sculpture, installation, printmaking, collage and photography. She creates immersive spaces where the viewer can respond and get involved in the sights, smells, sounds and tactility of her work. She is influenced by the history of domestic spaces and habitats, and our behaviour within these places. Imagery and objects that are embedded in her work weave a complex narrative, exposing new and hybrid approaches to the myriad of ways that we can live in contradictory and often compromised living spaces.
